Welcome to the GarrMusic Band page
Over the couse of many years, I've found myself as a part of many different musical projects. Some were bands, some were acoustic duos, yet others never even made it off the ground. Here is where you can view information regarding the various projects I've been involved in. Enjoy!
Garr
This is my solo acoustic project. I've been writing songs for nearly 13 years now and occasionally playing them out. Many of the songs I originally wrote by myself were turned into songs for bands I was in or morphed and changed into something different along the way.

I started this acoustic duo with a friend, Tony, a few years back. Tony moved on to other things and I let it go by the wayside for a bit, but Jason (the guitarist for the new band) has agreed to team up with me so we can play some shows and do some damage. Look forward to many Taco Toppers songs and shows to come!
back to topUnnamed Band
This is my current project. It's a full band with Jason, Bill, and Lieah. We've written two songs together and they had a small collection before I joined in December of 2007. We're hoping to be out and playing by the end of May or beginning of June in 2008. See ya at the bar!
back to topRuleSeven
RuleSeven was formed by Matt, Kevin, and Paul (the latter two previously of BroomPenny). When they fell on hard luck finding a singer, they invited me over for an audition and to see how things went. Within a year we had nearly 4 hours worth of material including a full set worth of original songs.
We played all over the Fort Wayne area and had a great time. We recorded at Soundmill Studios and Monastic Chambers and eventually produced a really good four song demo which included the songs "Take", "Gates", "Denied", and "F.B.A.P." I still listen to that demo today. I think it's some of the best work I've done to date.
RuleSeven eventually split up when guitarist, Paul, quit citing a general lack of desire to continue working with us. Matt, Kevin and I tried to keep going as a trio, but lack of a practice place and other circumstances left the band defunct.
back to topRuleSeven 2.0
After a year and a half of RuleSeven being ashes on the ground, I met Jeff (a guitarist) and started talking to an old RuleSeven fan, A.J. The two suggested that we all get together to jam and I contacted Kevin. Eventually we wrote some songs and things were going well. We decided to keep the name RuleSeven because the feel of the band was the same, even though the style was a bit different
After writing about eight songs, we started playing openers for other bands and gained popularity quickly with a catchy modern rock sound. We quickly recorded two songs at Ozone Recording Company (formerly Soundmill) and got decent reviews.
the life of the band came to an abrupt halt when A.J. got called to active duty with the Marines. We found Mike Deaton to fill in briefly, but things managed to fall apart anyway. After nearly a year, A.J. returned and things were never quite the same. Jeff and A.J. fired Kevin then quit a couple of weeks later to form their own band leaving me to myself.
Though I was sad to see RuleSeven die again, I still play many of the songs that we wrote in my acoustic set and feel that they were among the best that I'd written.
back to topBroomPenny
BroomPenny was a band that I was in with friends, Dan, Paul, Kevin, and Sam. We wrote close to 15 or 20 songs and played a bunch of shows over the course of almost a year and a half. We released a partial album with 7 tracks on it called (get this) Track 7. Original eh? Well, Track 7 included (in no particular order) "DP", "Just", "Yesterday", "Blacker", "Track 7", "Tried by 12", and "Window."
There are some out there who still have the CD and I'm sure there are digital copies of it flying around. I may, if I can ever get my hands on a copy, get those songs posted up here for you to enjoy!
